Big Week for Big Jim

Tracey Stones Productions Presents

Sunday in the Park Music Series

In my mission of connecting people to music, we kicked off our community concert series for the residents in Fairfield Harbour. Bringing the music was my favorite blues duo Big Jim and Kathy Kohler.

Though it was a bit warm yesterday afternoon, the weather did not stop residents from coming to Red Sail Park to enjoy the music. Things really got hot when Kathy took the mic to offer her warming vocals on several selections. She even managed to take us to church with a graceful version of People Get Ready.

The loving blues couple have been sharing the stage and spotlight and love for music with fans and friends for more than two and a half decades. They still have fun doing the thing they love most, entertaining the masses before them.

This is another busy week for our local bluesman. He is hosting music tonight at The Brown Pelican from 7-9 pm. On Wednesday evening he does it again also from 7-9 pm at The City Stage. This Friday the band will open a show at The State Theatre, this Friday night. They will be setting the stage for, national act, JoAnne Shaw Taylor who is out touring in support of her new release Reckless Heart. Tickets for the show can be purchased in advance by following this link:  Joanne Shaw Taylor at the State Theatre!

On Saturday, June 1, 2019, the band will be at the coast and rocking Cru Bar & Wine Store/ The Beaufort Coffee Shop with free music being offered from 8:30-11:30 pm.
